Why would DSM32 swap change extensions if I set Dip Switch the same?

So I had two MBM's changed under warranty. I powered down the system and installed them 1 at a time. The MBM's are DSM32 that are being removed, and the new ones say DSI on the front, but they are still 32 digital stations. I set dip switch's the same, and all users extensions are now on a new port and new extension that cause too much greif, so I put the old MBM back. So they must be different MBM's, and require different Dip Switch settings. Any ideas? I read all the notes, and I usually have no issues with Dip Switch's like this.

Thanks in advance

BCM400 3.7 on this, sorry to leave that out.

DSI mbm cannot use Double Density so they each take 2 bus which mean it cannot work.
You definitely need to get 2 DSM32+.
