I took over an established website with shared borders. After importing to my computer, updating, and publishing all of the shared borders on all 281 pages vanished on the host. I still have them locally in front page 2k. What am I not doing when I publish my page?
Thanks

I always use "Publish All" pages instead of the default "Publish Changed Pages Only" checkbox when I have "messed" with the Navigation View or Shared Borders.

I have this exact same problem, and I always use the "publish all" feature.

I can see the shared borders on the screen, and the html code on my pc says "content="b"", but on the server, it still says "content="none"

Is there an option that I am missing to publish the borders?

I can publish via so I don't think there is any problem with the extensions..

Thanks in advance for any help!!

I would try publishing the web to a new web or sub web on the server to see what I get. If it worked then I could go through a renaming exercise. Perhaps you have already tried that. I'm using FP 2000 SR 1a on Interland.

OK Here's how I fixed it.
First, I removed shared borders from each page.
Then, I published the web...all 281 pages...
Next, I added the shared borders again.
Lastly, I published the web again...all 281 pages...
And there it was.

The only problem I had with that, besides the long upload time, was my shared border is on the bottom, front page defaults with a left side border, even though I set up the shared border at the bottom, it placed another shared border on the left side, so now I had two. One border at the bottom with my info, and one border on the left with a front page default message in it. I could not figure out how to delete it globely. So I went into each page individually and deleted it.

That worked for me.
Good luch Jennifer.
