Hi, I'm a new bryce 5 user. I love the program but when I try to create a river or a lake it doesn't work. I can create a negative boolean landscape and cut it into a positive terrain. I can see the hole where the lake is going to be. The problem is when I lower the water plain below the ground plain the hole for the lake just stays grey and doesn't fill with water.

I am grouping the negative and positive landscapes and I can see it cut a perfect hole for a lake, but the water just doesn't fill it. I've got wireframe underground on and I can see the water going below the ground.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME??????

im new too and the same thing happens to me.

Could you send in a screenshot? Or maybe you could tell me what exactly you do.

Here's a lake I just made.

What I did was:

-New file (Comes with a 'Plane' already)
-Selected plane and changed its properties to 'Positive'
-Inserted a 'Terrain' object and rotated it downwards
-Changed the terrain's properties to negative
-Grouped Plane and Terrain together, a big hole appears
-Inserted 'water plane' and moved it below the original plane.
-That's it

Maybe you forgot to delete your original plane?

Thanks so much!!!! I was not deleting my original plane. It works perfectly now. I really appreciate it. Thanks again, Donnie
