Why won't my report save to CE 8.5? 1

I'm in CR8.5 and do a Save As.

When the Save As window opens, I select the Enterprise Folder Icon at the lower left of the screen. A logon window appears. I give it the Admin logon and the APS server name (the authentication type is Enterprise). When I click ok NOTHING HAPPENS.

There's a patch on the CE CD that needs to be applied to enable saving a report directly.

I can't recall the exact directory name, something like Patches\CR 8.5

I agree with the last statement. However be a little careful with this patch!!

As per a question, that was just posed regarding export to excel.

The patch stuffs the export to excel, in your Crystal Reports App. There is a fix which requires renaming the old excel dll.

We installed the Patch on WinNT4.0.

When we looked to export a report from Crystal Reports 8.5, rather than the six excel formats, we were use to we found only one or two. Neither which proved to be much cop for our reports.
