I am trying to save a report as a snapshot using the save as method then selecting snapshot format .snp then OK.
When I click O.K. it says that it is outputting the report – but it finishes really quick and then when I got to look where the file should have been saved – it is not there.

This is the same for all other reports

The strange thing is that if I create a new report quickly using the wizard for test purposes – then save as it outputs OK as a snapshot and the file is saved to disk

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this??

We've had the same problem with some of our reports. For us, it occurred when the reports were too big because of all the boxes. We use an 8 point font and had 57 boxes across and all the way down the page. To reduce the reports memory size we had to remove the boxes and put in lines instead. In short, in our case, it was a memory thing. Hope this has helped.

Have you looked in the Default Database Folder (specified in Tools->Options->General Tab)?

Thanks for the replies - the strange thing was that a quick test report would output as .snp, the only difference with this report was that it did not have any graphics on it.

So I edited the problem report and removed a small logo graphic and it WORKED!!!!

must be something to do with the graphics or size of file?
