Why won't IE6 close with WM_CLOSE?

Hi,

I'm a programmer trying to write a popup-defender. I'm trying to close instances of IE by sending the WM_CLOSE message to the window but it has no effect. If I send the same message to Word, Excel, Notepad, etc. they all close fine.

Is there a different message to close IE?

Thanks, the solution is to use PostMessage instead of SendMessage.
