It may have to do with your current (default) Font attributes, or it may be your Video driver or card/chip set or it may be your monitor (especially if it's an LCD screen).
Try changing resolutions, drivers, or even systems and let us know what you see.
It would also be useful to know the version and SP level of VFP you are using.
