Why WLAN 2211 set doesn't choose the closer AP 1

A customer has WSS2360, with 2330A APs and 2211 IP sets. The big issue is when someone has the set talking and walking from one area to another, the 2211 doesn't automatically swap the AP from the far one to the closer AP, and the conversation got dropped or in and out.

Anyone has some idea or same issue, how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Here are a couple things to look for. Set your DTIM interval to 3 on the radio profile. Enable beaconing on the service profile that the WLAN sets are associated to. Also, it's recommended that the APs not use the auto tune channel and power features when WVoIP is in use.

The VoWLAN Technical Solution Guide from Nortel covers a lot of little things that can accumulate to cause issues.

Thanks a lot Biv343! I'll have a try tomorrow. Also, what is the name of the document you mentioned? "VoWLAN Technical Solution Guide". I never heard this before, downloadable from Nortel.com?

Thanks again.
