Hi guys,

I have almost done the whole things to set up a SUS server, however, I am not quite puzzled on why I did this.

Most of my worksations are WinXP, so I could configure them to automaticlly download and install the upgrades on schedules. And there is also not many cases in which I do not approve updates, as most of them should be ok for the system.

Then why Microsoft give this SUS to us?!

Instaed of having all the pc's get their updates over the internet, one machine goes out to get the updates and the XP machines all get their updates from the server...saves bandwidth, plus you can control what downloads get pushed out to the clients.
