Hi

I searched under the key words "paragraph" and "spacing" and got nothing, so I will start a new thread.

I converted a six page agreement letter from Word into a PDF file using the PDF Writer. Anyhow, most everything is fine, except the paragraphs, line, words etc., break of differently at the end of the page. I was expected close to a mirror image from Word to PDF and so was my boss. Can anyone make a recommendation? Thanks.

Try this, and whilst I am not sure if it will work it seems the first logical step.

When you choose to change the acrobat conversion settings from Word (Acrobat 5 assumed) there is an "office" tab. At the bottom of this bit is the "Document Tag" with a "Embed Tags in PDF (accessibility, reflow)" checkbox. Turn this off. This feature does two things (well actually more for the pedants amongst us!) it will allow the text to reflow within the PDF and it makes the file a heck of a lot larger.

It seems like your pdf is reflowing the text to match its whim, unchecking this should (still untested) fix this. However, if you are using a more unusual font (than arial or times), it could be that acrobat is subsetting your font with one of its own, so check the font embedding as well.

Good luck Derren

Thanks, Derren. I will try this technique tomorrow at work, since I don't have it here at home.

Thanks again,
DanH
