i am curious as to why there is a '?' mark at the end of the url of a .asp file that is executed. i am running windows 2000 with IIS 5.0. thanx.

you use the ? to tell the web server that after the ? there are querystring variables.

If there are no variables after the address then there is no need for the question mark.

Does this answer what you were asking?

that indicates there is a querystring being passed.
for example take a look at the URL for you in TT. you should see quite a bit of information being passed from page to page on reactions from the user A language that doesn't affect the way you think about programming is not worth knowing.
