Why so long to backup registry ???

Any ideal why it takes so long to backup the registry on some machines? Most of my registry backup take 15 minutes at the most, but a few take an hour or more. These machine are all pretty much the same in build and function. Thanks for any info.

I had the same problem with one machine - it took 3hours to backup the registry and another 3 hours to backup the registry on another machine using NT Client Agent, making the entire job take about 14hrs for 16Gb. Sorry I can't help with a solution because it seemed to right itself - I would be grateful if you could let me know if you've discovered anything - I'll have another look at my machines and see if I can find what happened.
