I am trying to learn VC++ on my own since there is no institute in the city which teaches(although there are a number of institutes here devoted to computer education)VC++.Well I am not detered but I want to tell others how important and interesting it is to learn VC++.Could some one tell me the names of some important applications made inVC++ so that I can set the record straight for these guys here.Moreover is the scenario hot or bleak for the VC++ guys since it is pretty grim for the Java fellows since the beans have lost the gas!!

Well,

1. Microsoft Visual C++ was created with Microsoft Visual C++.

2. Essentially any Microsoft product created for Windows was created with VC++.

3. Half-Life was created with VC++.

That is all I can think of. In anycase, VC++ is the best compiler for generating Windows code. If your going to write a windows app MVC++ is the best way to go (definitely not Java).

just to be clear, colgoldie, are you saying that you know C++ but want to know why you should use VC++ As your compiler, or are you asking in general why you should learn "c++" Karl Blessing aka kb244{fastHACK}
