Why report design setup not permanent?

I changed the setup of a report by making the margins smaller and saving this design change. Problem: The changes are not saved and the people that use the system get upset by having to adjust the margins when they want to print the long, monster report. Is that normal, that Access does not save design changes on formatting reports for long? Do they have to live with that?

My guess is that you are using A2000 without the latest service release applied.
If so, go to Tools>Options and uncheck 'Track Name Autocorrect'. You will then be able to save the print settings with the report.
