Why part of my flash movie is not transparent?

I have a transparet flash movie on top of the html files as a page turn function. It works great when whole flash movie is on the screen. But, if we use a bigger zoom file which part of flash movie is out side of the screen, then the bottom part of flash movie is not always transparent. Sometimes it is transparent, but most of time they are not. If I take out <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />, the flash displays OK but I lost transparency.
I am using Flash MX and test on windows XP pro/IE6.0
