why on some document Acrobat wants to "read"

Hi,
I have this annoying thing that happens to certain documents where when the document is opened and acrobat (I'm using Acrobat 8) it says that Acrobat is reading the document before I can scroll down .....when its a long document it's a burden.

I don't remember this in the prior Acrobats.

Please comment.
