We have several reports that are on our Enterprise (Crystal 8.5) that were created using a crystal views. BUT - it seems that we keep "losing" the VIEW when the system is backed up or restored (Oracle 9.2).

What can we do to prevent us having to recreate the view everytime maintenance issues occur. ANY HELP would be appreciated.

Are these the most disadvantages in using views. I have a VERY tight schedule and need to get this resolved as quickly as possible. THIS IS URGENT! Please help.

Database Views are great, but you're not using Database Views, you're using the dreaded Crystal SQL Queries.

I doubt that even Crystal would suggest that you use them these days...

I would guess that you're not backing everything up properly.

But if you can, create real Views in the database, Crystal SQL Designer adds nothing more than another layer.
