Hello all,

I am looking into Solaris 10 doc and found that NFS v4 only use nfsd, no more mountd, statd, lockd, syslogd. however when I verified in my production servers, those daemons are still runing. I am sure the production server is running NFS v4 because port 2049 in use and nfsmapid is running. could anyone explain that?

thanks!

Those are NFS client processes, I think you're talking about NFS server?
