The picture that I choose to "swap" in dynamic effect
shows up in preview nicely but when I download it to
the internet it doesn't. I have it set to switch to
another picture when you put your mouse over it.
On the internet when i do this nothing happens except
a little box at the bottom states "JavaScript:void(0)"
Please help..........I only know how to use Frontpage
and don't know anything about HTML etc..........
thanks

My dear friend Bentley.....you have nicely articulated the 'problem' with total dependence upon a WYSIWYG editor, such as the vainglorious Front Page authoring tool. As soon as you will encounter a problem slightly 'outside' of the FP proprietary box, you will be in trouble.

My suggestion: go look at a recently published page I made for one of my clients. It utilizes an image swap in JavaScript, and if you View Source, print out the HTML, and compare it with what yours looks like, you may be able to narrow down the error.
the URL is: <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> over the buttons on left to observe image swap.
Good luck.

Web Whacker

Front Page 2000 makes it easy to use DHTMl to create hover buttons. First identify the two images of equal dimensions that you will be using. Be sure the image dimensions are the same for both pictures. Then in normal view of FrontPage, use your cursor to highlight the primary image, then from the format menu in your toolbar, choose dynamic html effects to access the dhtml effects dialog box. In the dialog box, choose Mouse over from the <choose an event> drop down box. From the <choose an effect> drop down, select swap image. From the dropdown box<choose picture> select choose picture and select your hover image. Be sure that the primary image is selected when you begin, and be sure you do not pick the same image as the primary image for the hover image or it will look like nothing is happening when you hover over it. Also be sure both pictures are listed and are on the web server.
