Customer has BCM 3.7, everytime when they do the page, screen shows 'please wait'. This lasts 2 or 3 seconds, and then they can hear the page tone and start to speak. Page was OK before I applied several new released patches for 3.7. I don't understand why since there was no programming change and no hardware change. Please help me out if this issue.

Thanks guys, I'm learning......

Are you using IP phones? There is problem when paging through IP phones. The BCM can't set up an all page through the IP phones quickly enough. The BCM doesn't multicast to all the sets at the same time. It unicasts to each one individually. Nortel added the wait to overcome this.

Thanks for the reply. There are 5 IP sets in the system, but most of sets are digital sets. And most important is there was not any wait time before, just after I applied some system patches to the BCM it happens. What eles should I look at?

I would take the IP phones out of page group 1 and instead of all call paging, page to group 1 instead. I haven't tried it personally, but it may help.

I would like to try. It might help. Just wonder why didn't happen before?
Thanks a lot.

This could be a good thing. I have paid extra for this feature with a digital feedback terminator to interface with my paging system. It records your page then re-broadcasts it moments later to eliminate feedback on speakers.

It's fixed. Just like bluemr2 said, couple of IP sets were in page zone 1. Took them off, then fixed the issue.
Thanks all you guys for great help.
