Hi All,

I have a problem, I have created an application on a Japanese version of VC++ 6.0 and set the settings English, but when I run the compiled version on an English system the button captions don't fit. On the Japanese version they are OK but not on the English.

I have set the font to MS San Serif but it doesn't seem to work.

Anybody have any ideas.

Thanks in advanced

I've noticed that English fonts on Japanese systems don't look quite the same as English fonts on English systems. I think it's just a font problem.

Hi cpjust

I tried comparing the sizes of the fonts in both the English and the Japanese operating systems by making bit maps of both versions of the dialog boxes.

The fonts look like they are the same size but the dialog box has shrunk !!

In the English operating system the size is 335 x 306 (WxH) but in the Japanese operating system the size is 389 x 358 (WxH).

Any idea what the problem could be ?

Thank you for spending the time to answer my question.
