Why is the Contivity web interface so slowwwww!

Anyonw have any ideas on how to speed this thing up? I followed the Nortel tip to add the device to DNS, but its still so slow it drives me nuts.
This is using "Manage with Notebook" mode, the normal mode is even worse.

Nortel didn't allocate a lot of resources for management on the 600/1010/1050/1100 series devices. It runs quite a bit faster on the larger units.

The web interface is very slow, even if plugged direct into box and box not even on network, I always select the manage from notebook option, as this is a little quicker as it doesnt use Java .
