Hi all,
I have this report, and the data in it ony has 4 lines in it, but for some reason, it insists on spreading out over 3 pages. 2 lines on the first, 1 line on the second, and 1 line on the third. The base report is one which I copied and pasted from another report, which I did not write. So mabey it was something which was writen in originally. But I don't know where to look, or what to look for. Any help, or suggestions would be great.

thanks in advance,
David.

Look to see if the report is too wide for the page. If it is too wide, it will wrap to the next page.

Sorry, I should have mentioned, it is not being spread out in that direction. Each line of data fits on the page.

It is spreading out in a vertical sense. It starts a new page, with a new page header, at what seems like radom points in the lines of data.

Thanks for your response though.

I would still look to see if there is an extra space at the end of the report, perhaps in a field; but I would also look through to see if there is a page break somewhere.

Thanks again hneal.

I just got some help in another post I made, which lead me to the "Sorting and Grouping" dialog box. And in the process discovered that my data was being grouped by a field, which I was not displaying. And each new group started a new page...and that's why my data was spreading out.

OK. That makes sense, hense i stated you should look for a page break somewhere. Glad you received help.
