i have a movie that on the first frame i load an external movie that contains my music

my question is, why does it take less time to load my movie this way as opposed to putting the sound directly into the first frame?

Are you streaming that sound?

i was using the "show streaming" option to view it. for some reason ,the music doesn't stream. it's just reading it off of my hard disk.

might be because i was loading the music from an external movie

Preloading doesn't take into account loadMovie actions... When testing this locally, it's just reading it off your disk. Put it on the web, and the first time around (until it's in your cache), it certainely won't load as fast!
