Hi Guys...

I have set up a couple of mail boxes on the postfix on my dedicated server. However when I send email from those mail boxes, many web emails like hotmail and yahoo or outlook classify my emails as spam and put it in the junk folder straight away. Why is it classified as spam when it's sent to only one person? How can I correct this? Is there a way to avoid this?

Many Thanks

I have checked the spam database tool and my domain name and IP address don't seem to be listed there. My emails are still being classified as junk for some reason! Please Help!

While I don't know about Outlook, unless you mean Exchange or a company using it, there are many reasons for classifying your mail as spam.

The first things I'd check are that you have your DNS set up correctly and that your're not on a dynamic or other-wise banned IP block.

Thanks for your reply.

I have checked my IP using some online tools and it does not appear to be either dynamic or a banned block.

Could you please explain what you mean by setup my DNS correctly?

Thanks
