Why is Crystal automatically adding Guidelines???

I'm using Crystal 9, and whenever I add a new section to a report, and attempt to expand it, Crystal adds a BUNCH of horizontal guidelines.

It's really irritating. I figure there's got to be some setting I've tripped, but I can't figure out which one.

Any ideas?

Go into file->options->layout and uncheck "guidelines" in preview and design.

That only turns off the visibility of the guidelines. The handles for the guidelines are still in the ruler, and objects will still "Snap to" the horizontal guidelines.

You need to check "free-form placement" in file->options.
