Why have my rankings dropped....???

I've tried everything that has been suggested to me and although I can now see my listing 291 for "Coffee Gift Baskets" on Google for my page

- I don't understand why other pages that aren't as relevant as mine are appearing. I used to appear in the top ten on google until November last year. I'm wondering if there is something wrong in my code. I am at a complete loss and would appreciate anyone's help on this, it is so frustrating - my page rank is 4...... - any ideas......???

backlinks with the right anchor text is what you need. As I believe we have mentioned before.

Do easy things like make a sig for here that has a link with anchor text. You could make the link drop here work in your favour by using Coffee Gift Baskets instead of just the URI (URI drops only work usefully when your page name is the keyphrase, seperated with hyphens)

It's a very competitive phrase and your sites place (as you see it) won't be achieved too easily.

Patience and hard work is the key here. Do you belong to any other forums where you could us a signature? Are there any gift idea related forums where you could be a member and drive visitors not just link reputation DO NOT JUST LINK DROP be useful there.

SEO isn't rocket science or instant success, sometimes you have to be a little creative in how you approach the promotion methods the more competitive (within reason) the more thought and patience it takes.

Never forget you are simply an affiliate and SEs don't specially like affiliate sites that show they are just that.

Pardon me for my ignorance - but by Anchor text do your mean the text that is displayed when you hover over a link?

Also, what is a URI drop... sorry - I am still learning.

Regarding the other's Chris's comment - yes, I was hoping for more advice and different answers! - I did modify my page, add more content, I also did some product specific pages such as

http://www.spartium.com/coffeeconnection.htm

- but even that doesn't rank well for Coffee Connection....
