Flash is a lot of work for the processor, older and less powerful machines will likely have problems maintaining such a high frame rate if your movie is complex.

Some tips to speed up performance.

Don't use a lot of _alpha type effects - these are the most processor intensive thing you can do (graphically at least) in a Flash movie.

Don't use a lot of gradient fills - these take more processor effort to draw (and animate) than solid fills.

Don't use a lot of "stroked" graphics - Flash is slower at drawing lines than fills.

Use bitmaps instead of vector images - bitmaps affect download time (they take longer to download than vector images) but they draw much faster.

If your movie is script driven then you may be able to optimise your code to increase performance. Slainte
