Gurus,
All I want to do is Web-enable my forms in the development environment. To do this I start installing Oracle 9iAS and it tells me that to get forms running I need to install the infrastructure. So I go with that and then it asks me for the domain name. Now I am running this on Windows 2000 Professional and the IP address on the machine is dynamically allocated. So it does not have a host name or domain name. I tried putting in the dynamically allocated IP address in the hosts file. It seems to accept that and proceeds but later fails in database creation and many other things.
So after installation none of the files like formsweb.cfg, host.htm etc are created.
I'm at my wits end as I cannot understand why the domain name, host name etc are required on a stand-alone machine.
Could any of you please help?
Thanks in advance.
