why doesnt the debug window tell you

what line (or even what file) an exception occured at? the way you can see the entire call stack in java is so much better...
 
Why not?.. Make proper project settings (C/C++ General, Debug Info: Program database for Edit and Continue, Generate browse info box) - and you can see not only line number but also source text in exception point (and call stack too)...
Remember that Java is interpretive language so no any real exception for Java interpreter occured...
 
where can you see those things? i just get:

First-chance exception in App.exe (library.DLL): 0xC0000005: Access Violation
 
After Project Settings and compiling in debug mode Start Debug|Run. then watch debug windows...
