I have got a new Windows 2000 MF 1.8 server that has been told to default to English (UK) and when a new user logs on it defaults to English (US).

As we publish the Apps there is no way to get to control panel and change the setting.

HELP!!!!!

In the registry the .default user is set correctly.

Sounds like you'll have to remove whatever policies are in place either on the citrix server or the domain, etc to be able to access the control panel as a user. Run gpedit.msc from the command line for this either on the citrix server or a domain controller. Right click on the "Local Computer Policy" (may be "Domain computer policy" also)and select properties. In there you'll be able to check off two boxes that will disable to policies. Next, log in as the user and change the language preference.

I'm sure there is a way using a vbscript that you could point to when running log on scripts that would change that for you. The only problem is, I really don't much about vb. Try consulting the programming section here. They might help you find a script.

Does anyone know any way to publish Control Panel on Windows 2000 (all I get when I try it is a Explorer Window)

I can control which applications are seen by control panel, just not how to publish it.

Thanks
