Why doesn't back color affect the entire field?

On my datasheet subform I'm using conditional formatting to color all the fields of a row gray when a certain value exists in one of the fields. But on a couple of the fields the color doesn't go all the way across the field. There is a white area on the right. When I resized the column so that it is narrower, the white space just moves over. Why doesn't the color fill in the entire cell? Or is there another way to gray out an entire row?

is the field a combobox? if so the white area is the dropdown arrow.

Well, I should have figured. Is there any way to get rid of that white spot? And do you know of any way to make the whole line colored instead of doing it one field at a time?

How are ya projecttoday . . .

I don't think its the button as much as it is the [blue]Special Effect[/blue] of the combobox. By default access uses [blue]sunken[/blue]. It appears its the way the outline has to be to show that affect (same for textboxes).

Change the [blue]Special Effect[/blue] to [blue]Flat![/blue]

See Ya! . . . . . .

Change the drop down arrow ... not that I know of but keep searching there may be a way.

You could take a look at this link for conditional formating
