Why does WSH (in VBS) in HTML not work?

Your VBS script MUST be hosted. When you run it directly the container is Cscript.exe or Wscript.exe. When it is embedded in an HTML page, the container is Iexplore.exe and then you haven't reference to scrrun.dll (Script RunTime Library).
