Why does this happen?

I've noticed more and more that when I open pages, tons of other pages open down in my windows bar. How can I stop this or reduce the number of windows popping up. It's wasting my time.

One time, I couldn't even close it. I had to alt, control, delete to get the window to close. I notice some windows are still up after I close IE.

"Pop-under" ads are a real aggravation on the net these days. Although less obtrusive than popups, they are in some ways worse, because you may end low on system memory with a dozen or more popunders open that you didn't notice.

There are several programs available for download to prevent popup and popunder windows, some work better than others. One I use that is free and decent is called "pop-up killer". A google search should yield the site.

Is yours a demo or a 30 day trial? What's the manufacturer called?

It's a freeware product. I can't remember the manufacturer's name. Try a google search and you will find it.
