i have just started with pascal today and cant get a very simple program to run. it does compile but when i oppen the c:\dos file it oppens a a black window for about one second and closes. im running on a windows xp ibm thinkpad t41 PLZ help!!!

When a dos program terminates, windows closes the window by default. You can change this in the file's properties. But it's easier, if you're running DOS programs, to open a DOS command window and run your program by typing it's name there. This window will remain open, with any text output your program produced, after the program has terminated.

im stil having problems can you show me a step by step im a freeking N00B =(

ps. thx for repling so fast.

If you want to keep the screen as long as possible, end your program with ReadLn
