Ms-Oulook has recently taken to giving me "Sending 2 of 2" when in fact only ONE e-mail is being sent. Added to which it sometimes repeatedly refuses to send certain e-mails with large attachments whilst successfuly sending others with equally [larger] attachments. What am I missing?

I've had this type of problem at home, and it turned out to be my virus scanner. You may actually find that the large emails that it's refusing to send ARE actually being sent, but Outlook doesn't know that and so keeps trying (successfully) to send over and over. I disabled scanning of outgoing emails, and haven't had the issue since. Not really an option if you're on a work PC, but this info may be a starting point.

Thanks Larena. I'll try your advice.

I have disabled AVG from scanning outgoing e-mail but the problem persists.
