Actually that's a bit stoopid - I know WHY, I just don't know how to fix it. Here's the situation - raise your hand if it sounds familiar ... you type some stuff into Flash, it might only be 2 words, it might be a whole sentence. You change the line spacing for extra precision display. You place the text with infinite care and attention. You save it and exit Flash. You find something you need to change when viewing the SWF, so you open Flash again, open your FLA, and find (to your horror) that the type has moved position all by itself. You want to kill your mac.

So, what's the score? This only happens with text which has had the line spacing changed - all other text is usually fine. I'd just like to know a) if anyone else has witnessed this phenomenon themselves and b) if they have found any sort of work-around for it.

It is REALLY inconvenient when the boss is breathing down your neck and everything keeps moving itself - I waste more time repositioning stuff than I do developing anything new! Please help me!! I think it's a mac thing (I use both mac and PC, and I've never noticed this sort of insanity on a PC), but I'm not entirely sure.

Yep, it's a mac thing...I just did exactly what you explained, and no problem here...too bad the mac has died...they made some cool looking machines...(although I can only think of 1...the g4 cube)
