Why does my Layer 2 View do that???

Hi everyone,
Under campus manager / topology services / network views / layer 2 view when I open the map there are several problems with it. First, all my atm devices connect to their correct ingress switch but also connect to a atm cloud. I've gotten rid of it by deleting all the links, but it just comes back. I also get the same thing with a gigbit ethernet segment. Anyone know how to get around this?
Also almost half of my devices come up as green or red question mark boxes. I've checked configs, model numbers etc but can find no difference in how they are setup. I have other devices of the same type that autodiscover fine. Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks all!
 
I don't really understand the problem your having on the first question. So I'm skipping right to question #2. Try checking your DNS settings and make sure that all your devices are listed in both Forward and Reverse lookups. This should fix some of your issues. Also, you might want to check which IP addresses on the routers/switches that CW2K is actually using to resolve to the device. Remember, CW2K uses CDP and which ever address is listed in CDP is the one that should be listed in your DNS servers as well. Try that out and see what you get.
