I just finished assembling a new computer. I'm having one minor issue I'd like to resolve.
When I power down the computer my Intellimouse Explorer stays lit (the red light underneath)?? The only way I can get the mouse to shut off completely is to also switch off another power button on the back of the computer. Why does the case even have two power buttons anyway?
On my old machine and my machine at work, if the computer is in standby or is powered down the mouse shuts off (same make and model). Is there possibly some setting in the BIOS that controls the power to the ps/2 port? I'm using an ASUS TSUL2-C motherboard. Is it just the ps/2 port? Maybe I should use a USB port?
Worse case scenario. If I can't find a solution is it going to significantly shorten the life of my mouse if indeed it does stay on 24/7?
Thanks in advance for your help.
