why does it open 2 windows?????

Why do 2 windows open when I use this as my button action

on (press,release) {getURL ('

http://www.webrealestate.com/clients/roddy/info.htm',

'_blank' );

}
Does anyone know if this is a server anomalee or have I written it wrong?

In your code you have two behaviors:

on press and on release so flash does two times the get URL.

All you have to do is remove the press (in the actions window where you selected the "on release" uncheck the press and voila...
