Why does everything have to be so hard?

I have a 6 page menu that is in its present form 6 individual pages.

Now they want to print it as a hand out all on one sheet of legal sized paper on their inkjet printer.

This doesn’t sound like a big problem. I opened up a new page layout the right size to hold all three pages that go on one side of the sheet. Then I opened up the three pages.

Left page first, select all, group, and then copy.

I switch to the new page and hit paste, the page appears and I move it into place. No problem

Next the center page, same procedure and when the page appears the type are all screwed up. Blocks overlap etc.

On to page three, it appears and is no longer even the correct depth.

I have tried this several times and only the first page comes in unchanged.

Why?

I finally got around it by creating PDF files and then placing them instead of the original page files but why can’t I just paste the pages into the new page unchanged.

The margins and page height are the same only the width of the new page is different.

Once the document is put together I create a .ps file at 63% and then make a PDF file for them to print from.

Oh h*** I just tipped over my coffee, *#@*, (Pause to blot it up with paper towels) well it didn't land on the keyboad anyway.

It's not my day.

Hi, Mike,

I'm not sure I've got the full picture, but it's possible to scale directly from the PM print menu without having to create PDFs.

I can't explain what happened to the fonts, but it's very easy to drag'n'drop PM pages across adjacent windows.

I'll try that and see what happens.
