I've got a puzzler,

I have a containing div, which holds some floats, it works because the containing div center aligns the whole thing fine.

Only the div doesn't stretch down to hold the content where the end div tag is.

it does in IE but not FF , why is this happening, and how can I fix it.

Code:
[URL unfurl="true"]http://www.independentmortgagenetwork.co.uk/new/index.html[/URL]

Thanks
1DMF.

I tried that feherke, adding float:left; to the containing div, but then the page doesn't centre.

it goes hard left and not centres.

So how do I contaion floating columns and make margin:0 auto; work?

You can also add [tt]overflow: auto;[/tt] to the container. Sometimes it works nicely.

Gotya, thanks feherke, works a treat!

Pain in the butt FF, I was just starting to warm to it then IE7 came out and i'm back to liking IE :)

Though having learnt the new way of doing things CSS / standards, etc.., I can certainly see why you all hated IE6 - lol

might that cause unwanted scroll bars to appear?

It might. But it doesn't on your page. :)
