Why does CS2 llustrator Crash on launch?

Please help!

Any time I attempt to open Illustrator on Mac OS X (version 10.4.11) recently it crashes at launch stage leaving message : Illustrator unexpectedly quit no other programs are effected. When I log in as a new user illustrator works fine. Does anyone know what this is!!?

It seems like i have tried everything:
Deleted my Illustrator Prefs
Looked for Corrupt fonts
Reinstalled Illustrator
Repaired Disk Permissions
Tried to recreate the problem.
Downloaded 'Fix VCUI Framework file' due to recent download.
Downloaded OS X updates.

Does anyone have any suggestions- they would be greatly appreciated.

...are you on PPC or Intel?

...have you tried removing the entire illustrator settings folder from:

user > library > application support > adobe > Adobe Illustrator CS2

...the relaunch illustrator to create a new fresh set up...
