Why does changing the calendar on the users PC allow the cookie to be placed and read?
I have a polling website, in which visitors are asked many questions. If someone comes back to the site they are supposed to start with the first question that they have not previously answered.
I have an agent on my server that is supposed to place a cookie on the visitors PC and then read the cookie in order to determine which questions that visitor has previously answered and then advance to the next question.
Since March this had not worked. However, a user in Korea found out by accident that if you set the date back on the PC by going to: START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANNEL > DATE/TIME and change the year from 2002 to 2001.
Then it works perfectly. Does anyone know where on the server or in the agent or wherever the date sensitive bug is that should be changed so that the visitors do not have to change their PC calendars in or for it place the cookie and read the cookie.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks
