why do we need a 4 wire to connect the tvp50 to
a 1232 and what are the line

for proper apt or dpt integration you would need 4 wire connection. 1 single slot would facilitate 2 ports. alternatively if you were connecting slts to the vm then you would only use 2 wires, but would not get the integration levels of above. furthermore, you would use 1 extensions slot per vm port.

1 pair only, just B&Y
The 2nd port is sent via the OHCA channel on the primary digital signal.

Feeding the analog port to the TVP50 won't hurt anything, but it's not going to serve any purpose other than waste a perfectly good analog port that could be used elsewhere.

ANALOG integration would use TWO analog ports and no digital ones, but on the TD1232, this would be terribly inefficient considering it fully supports DPITS connection.

Have fun.
