For the third time in a week, I have come to the office only to have a lock file that becomes 0 bytes and unable to delete. I need to get a network person to delete it for me. Does anyone know why this would happen.
Our users are notorius for leaving the application open when they go home at night. I know I need a routine to close em out...but until then, I wish I knew how this is happening....

Thanks

If you are using Novell, the file may be set for Delete Inhibit by your LAN folks. Right-click the file and click on the NetWare Info tab to chaek that. That was the case in my office and I couldn't understand why Windows would remove the item from view (as if it really WAS deleted); but if you refreshed the folder, it was back.

Hpe this is helpful!
