After I run ./apachectl start ,I use command: ps -ef|grep apache, which displays:nobody 887 882 0 22:27:45 ? 0:00 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd
nobody 885 882 0 22:27:45 ? 0:00 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd
nobody 883 882 0 22:27:45 ? 0:00 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd
nobody 886 882 0 22:27:45 ? 0:00 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd
nobody 884 882 0 22:27:45 ? 0:00 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd
root 882 1 1 22:27:44 ? 0:00 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd
root 888 821 0 22:27:51 pts/2 0:00 grep apache

(solaris2.6,apache1.3.20)

How to solve it?

Thanks

This is set in your httpd.conf

look for
MinSpareServers 5
MaxSpareServers 10

StartServers 5

MaxClients 150

you want more than one tho, otherwise only one person can connect to you at once. read the comments around the settings.
