Why do pictures move when Word 2007 doc printed in book fold?

When I create a Word 2007 document containing pictures and then try to print it in book fold format, why do the pictures move around the document? If I save the document in Word 97-2003 format everything is fine, but how do I get around this in Word 2007?

I believe it's a known problem and the only solution is the one you have tried [Print it in 97-2003 Compatible mode]
