Why do my transfer to mailbox icons disappear?

I like to set up icons to transfer highlighted messages to specific mailboxes. Works fine for a few days and then they disappear. I can recreate them but cannot find (1) why they disappear or (2) how to get them all back.

Also, it would be nice if I could differentiate the icons somehow.
