Why do my terminal tabs keep detaching themselves?? 1

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04, and twice today I switched to my Terminal window (where I had 5-6 terminal tabs open), all of the sudden, one of the tabs just detached themselves into a new window.

I can't see any way to re-attach the tab after it has been detached, which is really annoying.

What could possibly be causing it and is there any way to disable the ability to detach tabs?

You can re-attach a detached tab by first opening another tab in the detached tab's terminal window. Once you can see the tab handles, drag the tab you want back into the previous terminal window. Close unused terminal window.
